Surfing by Laura Nachman Bucks County Courier Times www.bradyresidence.com/channelsurfing.html September 14, 2004 The second episode of MTV's "The Real World: Philadelphia" airs tonight at 10 p.m. MTV, which could make a paperclip look cool, did a fantastic job making the city look happening and fun. The nightclubs Shampoo, Swanky Bubbles, and the Continental were displayed, as well as shots of the skyline, South Street, 30th Street Station, sculling down the Schuylkill river, the PECO building, the Camden Ferry, and more. All seven cast members fit the MTV beauty requirement, and they'll be working for beautiful Jon Bon Jovi on the Philadelphia Soul staff. Upcoming episodes include a trip to Fiji, Mardi Gras on South Street, Independence Hall, and of course lots of fights among the housemates. The premiere drew a 9 rating in Philadelphia, which is nine times the normal audience for an MTV show. Each local rating point equals 28,743 households. Go to www.mtv.com for details about the cast. I'm looking forward to tonight's show. Jill Chernekoff is back on WTXF, sort of.
